Fifth Avenue Penthouse
With stunning downtown views and incredibly high ceilings, the bare bones of this 52nd floor penthouse already delivered some serious wow-factor. But that was just the starting point for Zurich-based interior designer Andrin Schweizer, who warmed up the soaring space with a custom terra cotta wall treatment, atmospheric architectural lighting, and heaps of thoughtfully arranged curios.
Sly nods to the golden age of New York City skyscrapers surprise and delight throughout the residence—including a fun homage to King Kong in the media room. Overall, the design expresses the most romantic notions of the famed metropolis, establishing a dazzling retreat for the Swiss client’s frequent stays in the city.
